The picture is simply great. The movement in this scene and how Leviathan is depicted. As if he just rushed around the block with the viewer as a target in mind. You can see the power behind the water. His poster und look have an unsettling inelegance to it. The best depiction i have seen so far and definitely how i would imagine Leviathan.

I've just read that story and I don't think I've ever encountered an antagonist so absolutely terrifying. It's difficult to imagine quite capturing that sort of danger, but you certainly given it as good a shot as anyone could.

how would this thing fair in the dc/ marvel universe?

Hard to say, I don't know much about comics really. It's hard to compare universes at the best of times, but my go to assumption in any "superhero" world is that the most powerful heroes are ~Superman levels of power. With that assumption the Endbringers would be just as dangerous.  Scion was the only being capable of facing the Endbringers, and he was viewed as something of a deity, so maybe if someone pulled out the infinity gauntlet that would be enough to stop Leviathan.

yeah only one i can see holding their own against these guys in marvel one on one are thor and hulk... not sure how tehy'd do it as a team... but they definately wont be able to kill any of them.... you can drop an entire universe on these guys and they'd treat it like a bug bite

*breaks into convo*

I agree and disagree.

Keep in mind the biological mechanics of Leviathan before trying to hate the text-wall. He has one weak point in the whole body, decapitations do nothing, his flesh only grows more dense and durable as you get closer to the core, the only known technology that actually rips him apart is Nanothorn and even that doesn't decapitate. Heroes like Alexandria and Eidolon cannot stop Endbringers in general, only slow them down. Leviathan is no different. On top of all of this, he also has extremely fast regeneration.
Complete Leviathan info > worm.wikia.com/wiki/Leviathan

Righty then! On with the circus!
Out of the noteworthy heroes, the only ones I see being able to stand against Leviathan for a while are Iron Man, Thor and The Hulk. Iron Man being able because of the Hulk Buster, even then, it'll just get torn apart.
I've thought on how a battle would work between said three heroes and Leviathan: Hulk would more than likely charge in as a distraction while Thor hammers (pun intended) Leviathan with lightning. Stark would probably take the smart route and save the Hulk Buster for a back up and hover above while spraying down the ridiculous amount of destruction stored in his suit.

We already have a few problems.

1) Hulk is pretty small for his power, a bit larger than the average man in height, Leviathan is 30ft. Leviathan could probably just throw or bat Hulk every now and again to keep him effectively out of the fight.
2) Thor uses lightning, this creates problems by itself since Leviathan uses Micro-Hydrokinetic powers. Not only that but Leviathan doesn't get paralysed nor does he feel pain and because of his Hydro-Echoes, Thor's thunder is useless in fear of allies getting teamkilled.
3) Stark is *IN* the suit, if Leviathan grabs him, game over. That means that Stark is forced to stay out of the way for survivability, which by no means is guaranteed because of his effective range vs Leviathans own effective range.

Considering all of this, part of the elimination would probably go something like this;
1) Hulk incapacitated for brief duration at the start of the fight via getting grabbed and thrown.
2) Thor draws attention for Hulk to get back in while Stark spams whatever munitions are available at the time.
3) Hulk gets back in and promptly gets tossed away again.
4) Stark calls down the Hulk Buster while Thor spam hits Leviathan with lightning.
5) Both Stark and Hulk have a go at Leviathan.
6) Hulk gets tossed away yet again and Stark is left alone in a CQC with something that is almost 5 times his height and infinitely stronger than his suit, both in terms of physical power and physical regeneration.

Not going so well, eh?
That's how I would go about fighting if I was leviathan. Keep in mind, he is far, far smarter than I am so his choices would ultimately be very different.
This being said, Leviathan would shred pretty much everyone in the Marvel universe. DC is far different because there have been and still are almost unkillable people, ergo, Leviathan would probably die since the fight would probably just be a long game of who can survive the longest. There is one Leviathan and many, many DC heroes.

I feel as if I should say, this is before The Avengers: Age of Ultron. and at the time of the first Leviathan appearance in Worm.
All in all? Don't fuck with Leviathan, he will tear you apart. :)
(be gentle, I was exhausted when I wrote this.) X)

its fine i like having someone to talk abut this kind of stuff with.

the thing with marvel is that they tend to emphasize the humanity in their heroes... and they do this by making them human in body and mind

Dc more focuses on the mental aspects... at least that's my understanding of it.

now to dc...how would the combined forces of the entire earth of dc do against him... estimated casualties.... i finally found someone to talk about this with and im not letting go

yeah i knew from the start none of the guys in marvel have a shot... i mean we have seen thor die... and hulk is.. still human.. they would just last the longest

...In DC a lot of people are gonna die, but yeah I could see them doing this... Superman would be the one doing the killing blow of course... Flash would be able to keep up with this thing easy so long as he's careful... those water powers would be an issue... batman would probably play a long distance battle with this thing using whatever wayne tech bullshit he has hidden, he's useless in a fight against him.... wonder woman... eh dunno much about her.

The lanterns would prbably do the same as batman... long distance power attacks.

there's also the fact that Leviathan is a LOT smarter than he looks.

Righty-o then, the text wall shall now commence.

if we keep in mind all of Leviathan's strengths and his massive lack of exploitable weaknesses, I'm fairly sure we can just about say he wins in almost any 1v1 outside of Worm at this point.
That really doesn't change all that much when you pit him against dozens of enemies, all that really does is make him run away sooner, he's still gonna kill things and he's still gonna be merciless while doing so.

That in mind, I am almost 100 percent certain that DC really wouldn't do all that much to Leviathan since he kills off too many people too quickly for a massive amount of enemies to be much of an issue. Remember, in his first attack in the Worm, the only reason he even ran was because of the Nanithorn tech and Scion, if not for those, he probably would have destroyed the entirety of Brockton Bay.

Leviathan makes water out of nowhere using the Torrential Downpour thing he has, Water-Echoes and the fact he can call Tsunamis in. This combined with his Macro-hydrokinesis makes him able to level cities with no effort if not opposed and even then he can still manage.
I really don't think it needs to be said that in one attack, Leviathan would wipe out a very large number of DC Heroes.
I would do the whole thing with the fight estimate but I just woke up so I'm exhausted.
I do, however, have a casualty estimate! 40% of Heroes gone in one attack and 20% civilians in said attack. I can't see it being less than that.

Have you ever read anything from Brandon Sanderson? He's one of my all time favorite authors. (My current favorite series from him being the start of Stormlight Archives.) Really good, I hope you give him a try.

You did it again. The fight against Leviathan is my favorite endbringer fight. Simurgh and Behemoth were not as impactful for me in Worm. Leviathan was the first fight, we didn't know what to expect when the air raid sirens wailed. The flooding, the looming Endbringer, his water shadow, damaged buildings left and right. Your picture somehow depicts how I felt when Dragon rattled down the lists with the wounded and deceased and when the capes engaged him.

It is hard to discribe, this is my favorite Endbringer picture you've made. This is amazing.

The atmosphere is fantastic. I don't know if it is my knowledge of Worm and my imagination of it or if everybody feels it. I am not an artist, but I try to discribe why I like this so much. The building he is leaning on, together with wrecked structure on the left side, it gives the picture a frame, it is cramped and he is directly looking at you. There is literally no escape. For most people who don't know him and his powers, it will look like a wave, but it feels like his water is actually rending the broken structure to the left. The splash is not soft like a wave, it is hard.

His water echo can be seen soaking out of his body at his arms and shoulders, especially at the end of his tail. There are a lot of details. And the background is simply amazing. The whole picture feels alive.

Thank you, once again, for your work.
It is fantastic.
